The NQISRCs recognize the need to harness the unique strength and expertise of each of the five Centers to jointly advance the field of quantum information science. The Centers also recognize the need to go beyond their individual missions and strengthen their joint vision and mission. To build on the joint vision and establish well defined partnerships, the Centers will hold a five-center in-person summit to identify and stand-up multi-center joint topical research and engineering projects with well-defined goals and deliverables.Â
The Five Center Leadership Summit will establish key multi-center research projects that bring together the individual strengths and expertise of the five Centers to accelerate critical scientific and engineering advances beyond what can be achieved by individual Centers. These multi-center research projects will demonstrate the full impact of the NQISRC Center Ecosystem on U.S. leadership in quantum information science.
The Five Center Leadership Summit will deliver a detailed action plan consisting of multi-center projects with clearly identified research and engineering goals, the roles of individual Centers and potential industrial partners, and the milestones and deliverables that will be tracked.
